BGIS is leading the way in occupational health and safety standards announcing the global achievement of certifying to ISO 45001 Standard from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

ISO 45001 was first issued in March of 2018 and has been developed with the input of experts from more than 70 countries, providing a global framework that guides organizations to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks, and overall enabling innovative, safer working conditions all over the world.

“BGIS is proud to be one of the first global companies to achieve this important occupational health and safety certification for Canada, United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The discipline and rigour of the ISO approach helps our business to deliver improved systems and processes on a consistent basis to benefit our team members, our clients and in reducing our impact on the environment,” says Pete Papagiannis, Global Chief Operating Officer for BGIS. “

The ISO 45001 certification is one example of BGIS’s continuing commitment to service excellence across the business.

Since 1999, BGIS has successfully implemented, operated and certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Standards across Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
