BGIS Expands with Shell into the US

Since 2001, BGIS has been the Canadian partner for maintenance services and program deployment for Shell Canada. BGIS is pleased to announce that we have expanded our relationship with Shell into the United States. BGIS has secured the mandate to deliver services to Shell’s expanding US portfolio, including Facilities Management, as well as future program deployment. Our new agreement will come into effect September 15th, 2020, with transition activities beginning immediately for California and Pennsylvania.

Safety, innovation and leading-edge technology are at the core of our integrated solutions for Shell. BGIS is in a great position to implement an enhanced North American service delivery model, driving additional value and cost savings for Shell in North America. Smart technology enabled service delivery, optimized and integrated site services and growth through partnership makes us the industry leader in the Oil & Gas retail business for Shell in North America.

Shell is passionate about Goal Zero and partnering with BGIS to be the Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) leaders in the Retail Oil and Gas industry. In 2018 BGIS won Shell’s Safety Award, and in 2019 we were recognized as their Partner of Choice in North America. “The successful transition of the Canadian HSSE model combined with Shell’s Global HSSE framework has ensured that a robust plan of action has been deployed to keep all workers safe on Shell sites, while optimizing the efficiency of team members and contractors,” says Alain Chaput, Vice President - Client Service Delivery.

Shell’s selection of BGIS as their Facility Management partner in the US is a testament to BGIS’ FM industry leadership in the oil and gas sector. Securing the US business was made possible as a result of the consistently high service standards of excellence that we have established in Canada, combined with our fast-growing presence and capabilities in the US. “This paves the way for additional growth in the US and additional investment in our technical self-perform capabilities,” says Mark Marquis, President, BGIS US.

"I want to thank and recognize the numerous people who were involved in helping us expand our relationship with Shell," says Gord Hicks, Global CEO, BGIS. "The commitment and dedication to service excellence of our Canadian team has been instrumental in this success. Thank you all very much. We are looking forward to continuing to create value for this important customer."
