On December 15, 2017, BGIS attended the third annual Employer Support of Guard Reserve (ESGR) Statement of Support signing ceremony at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Both Scott Haas, BGIS Talent Acquisition and Marine Corps veteran, and Brad Harden, BGIS Operations Director and Air Force veteran, were in attendance for what was their second time supporting the event held in partnership with Fastport (a veteran employment company) and ESGR.
“It’s important to show our reservist and guard members at BGIS our commitment and support to their continued service to the armed forces,” says Scott Haas.
The statement of support confirms an organization’s pledge to:
“The ceremony was truly an eye-opening experience,” says Brad Harden, who served for more than 20 years in the armed forces. “As a veteran, this makes me excited to know that there is a strong, unified effort between our branches of service and our ever-growing workforce to assist in finding careers for our brave men and women who have selflessly served our country. At the ceremony, you could feel the dedicated passion of the military representatives and the civilian organizations that stand united to support the troops. I was honoured to represent BGIS at this event as it was an amazing experience that I personally will never forget.”
Following on the heels of the ESGR Statement of Support ceremony, BGIS was named as a 2018 Military Friendly ® Employer by Victory Media on January 10, 2018. Click here to read more about this designation.
