BGIS Wins Two Prestigious P3 Awards for Operational Excellence and Innovation

MARKHAM, ON, October 1, 2026 – BGIS is proud to announce it has been recognized with two prestigious honors at the P3 Awards 2026, receiving both the FM & Technology Provider of the Year award and the Best Operational Project award.

The P3 Awards are widely regarded as the premier awards program celebrating excellence in public-private partnerships (P3s) across the Americas, recognizing organizations, projects and professionals that are shaping the future of public infrastructure through innovation, collaboration and operational excellence.

BGIS was named FM & Technology Provider of the Year for its leadership in advancing the operational maturity of the P3 model through repeatable innovation, measurable value, and consistent service delivery across essential infrastructure assets.

The award judges commended BGIS for demonstrating how innovation, resilience and integrated service delivery can be embedded across mature assets to drive measurable operational performance and long-term value. The recognition highlights BGIS's continued commitment to helping clients maximize asset performance while delivering reliable, sustainable outcomes for the communities they serve.

In addition, BGIS received the Best Operational Project award in partnership with Johnson Controls, for the operation of the Thunder Bay Courthouse, with judges citing the project's exceptional reliability, strong community impact and meaningful stakeholder engagement.

The award-winning project centered on the successful restoration and ongoing operation of the courthouse following a major electrical fire in 2020. Through effective governance, collaboration and a resilient partnership model, the facility was restored and reoccupied without interruption to court operations. Since then, the project has delivered a range of enhancements, including technology upgrades, flexible court functionality and the creation of an Indigenous cultural space, while generating broader benefits for the local community.

Judges praised the project's demonstrated social impact and the strong reputation of its operating team, noting that stakeholder testimonials reinforced the high regard in which the team is held.

"These awards are a testament to the dedication, expertise and innovation of our teams and partners, including Johnson Controls, who work every day to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and communities," said Jon Essa, Vice President, P3, BGIS. "Being recognized by the P3 Awards affirms our commitment to operational excellence, resilience and creating lasting value through the public-private partnership model."

As the most prestigious awards program in the P3 industry, the annual P3 Awards brings together government agencies, developers, investors, financial institutions, legal advisors and infrastructure leaders from across the Americas to celebrate landmark transactions and groundbreaking projects.

"The P3 Awards provides the high watermark of excellence in the P3 market, and each year rewards the increasingly high standards being set by industry professionals," said Paul Jarvis, Editor, P3 Bulletin. "It is a celebration of innovation and excellence within the P3 industry, where individuals and experts are pushing the envelope on what genuine collaboration and partnership can achieve."

These recognitions underscore BGIS's continued leadership in delivering innovative facility management and operational solutions that enhance public infrastructure performance while creating meaningful value for clients, stakeholders and communities.
