Ensuring safety for all is a BGIS value

BGIS is a people-first company, and we care. Our commitment is to provide safe and healthy working conditions to prevent work-related injury and ill-health to anyone that may be affected by our business activities.

VALUE PROPOSITION

Empowering individuals to achieve Workplace Zero

BGIS has three main objectives in our goal of workplace zero.

Striving to our goal of being the global leader in safety and sustainability in the real estate industry

BGIS’s Management systems are guided by the ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 45001: 2018 and ISO 9001: 2015 Management Systems Standard. We are committed to complying with all applicable Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and adopting industry best practices. We have been recognized externally for our management systems and the specific processes within them. Our primary drive is based on establishing and developing management frameworks to address, assist and support our customers’ needs, joint training initiatives and awareness, as well as agreed and challenging goals.

Continually improving our safety and environmental performance and risk reduction programs with the aim of Zero Workplace injuries

We continually review our safety performance and the effectiveness of our risk reduction processes to determine their success and adjust accordingly. Our team members are the ambassadors of our organization and our greatest assets. We are committed to providing resources, training, tools, procedures, and support to enable our workforce to perform their roles safely and competently. We place a major emphasis on skill development by investing in health and safety training for our employees, which embeds our health and safety culture in their everyday activities.

Developing and implementing initiatives to optimize the health, wellness and overall well-being of our workforce

The safety and well-being of our Team Members are inherent in the BGIS operating philosophy. Our safety program adapts to the ever-changing world we live in. To make changes to our programs that continually support our team members’ mental health priorities, BGIS listens carefully to its teams. Our well-established Well-Being Champions and Safety Champions programs assist in supporting our teams across the business.

OUR COMMITMENT

Our commitment, backed by a vision, defined responsibilities and procedures

BGIS’s team, contractors and building occupants are guided by our health and safety vision statement, our policies and procedures, and our clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

HS Framework

Our Framework

We aim to drive a Workplace Zero culture - eliminating Team Member injuries. Our philosophy is articulated in our QHSE Integrated Management System (IMS), which provides the management framework to protect our team, clients, and the public at large. The IMS describes the QHSE Management System, which follows the Plan – Do – Check – Act process to ensure proper planning, identification of hazards, management of risks, review of results, and continual improvement of performance.

We work in some of the most demanding environments, from global critical environments operations to flagship towers throughout the UK. Given these high-stress work environments, we are passionate about targeting zero accidents. We encourage everyone to play his or her part in being safe. BGIS’s QHSE approach to all our activities keeps our accident levels down to an absolute minimum.
