LONDON, October 2021 – Data Centre engineer Lewis Mears has won the DCS Engineer of the Year Award!
BGIS is delighted to announce Lewis Mears has won DCS Data Centre Engineer of the Year. Lewis has been with the business for 8 years, starting out as a mobile Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Apprentice. Thanks to the BGIS Apprentice Programme, he gained experience in both the Corporate Division and Critical Environments Division, expanding his knowledge and skill set to achieve a position as Building Services Engineer for BGIS.
“Here I have been fortunate enough to receive a multitude of opportunities which have allowed me to gain the experience and skills needed to be selected for this award.” Says Lewis. “Being nominated for The DCS Engineer of the Year award was enough of an honour and a privilege; I never thought I would be the one receiving the award. I feel totally overwhelmed and shocked that I won, but mostly I feel extremely proud of myself. I truly believe I would not be in this position today without the support and encouragement of those at Telstra LHC.”
“Telstra Client Rob Crookes and Contract Manager Michael Streeter have given me the perfect foundations and environment to allow me to achieve my goals and facilitate my career. I am grateful for the team of engineers with whom I work alongside, for their constant motivation and guidance and I am very excited to see where the next stage of my career takes me”
Well done, Lewis!
